How to avoid problems when gluing wallpaper

The procedure for gluing wallpaper is usually perceived by the owners of the dwelling almost in the form of children’s fun. Therefore, they are very upset if quickly after work on the surface of the material, various defects act. It can be bubbles, spots or divergence of seams.

To avoid all these unpleasant moments, you need to show very great attentiveness at the stage of preparation of the surface. In particular, it must be treated with putty, and then polished with sandpaper. Only after that can you proceed to applying wallpaper glue.

It is possible to prevent the situation in which the seams are extended, if you stick the first canvas of the material along the line “broken” using a plumb line. Each next sheet is glued relative to the previous. With this approach, it is easy to get absolutely vertically located canvases.

Great difficulty is the case when the walls are covered with a fungus. It must first be cleaned. In addition, so that it does not appear again, it is necessary to cover the base with an antiseptic substance before starting. Otherwise, due to the effects of liquid glue, mold after a while will appear again.
