Laying tiles made of polystyrene: the stages of the process

Polystyrene tiles can only be cut with a special hacksaw. Lay such tiles from the bottom up in the form of horizontal rows. Try to use the minimum amount of mastic about one millimeter of the layer and the joints between the tiles leave as minor as possible. Depending on the consistency of mastic, it is applied over the dry and clean wall with a spatula or brush.

On a thicker mastic, you can put the tile immediately after application, and on a more liquid after drying it after about three hours. The main thing is to remember that a fresh layer must be applied on top of a dried -up primer. To prepare rosin mastic, you need one and a half part of the rosin, 0, 9 part of ethyl alcohol, half of the part of the olifa and approximately 6, 3 parts of limestone flour. Pour the crushed rosin with alcohol and stir sometimes for two hours. Then pour in the Olifa there and fall asleep with limestone flour. Mastic is ready when you get a homogeneous mass. You can store properly prepared mastic in a well -closed vessel for about a month. And for the preparation of perchlorvinyl mastic, it is necessary to mix in equal proportions enamel or varnish and cement or limestone flour. Such mastic can be used after about eight days.
