Sound insulation of the ceiling

Residents of multi -storey buildings are familiar with the problem of noise from neighbors from above. To solve this problem, it is worth resorting to the sound insulation of the ceiling in your apartment by using combined slabs from coconuts and cork wood. The size of such a plate is 100x50cm, the thickness is 5cm, 2.5 cm, respectively, for each layer.

Before laying these plates on the ceiling, you should make a frame consisting of one level. The minimum point on which you can lower the ceiling in this case — 5cm. A metal profile is attached around the perimeter, which first must be pasted over with a soundproof tape. Plates without additional fastening should be tightly laid between the original ceiling and profile. After that, the P-shaped suspensions are attached to the overlap, and the main profile is already attached directly to them.

Combined plates should be laid to overlapping the side of the cork layer, on this side there are end grooves along the entire perimeter, which then must be filled with either sealant or liquid glue or silicone.

The main goal is to tightly, almost monolithic, lay the slabs close to each other. Further, the entire structure is sewn with drywall.
