Slag blocks are much larger than any brick, but it is much easier, because it is easy to work, and construction moves at a faster pace. The difference between the brands of slag blocks is due to the use of slag of different fractions in them, the higher the fraction, the warmer your structure will be, but remember that the material with a lower fraction is more durable. Blocks are very convenient in transportation.
Starting to build, even before filling the foundation to determine the thickness of the walls, it can be in the thickness of one cinder block, if, for example, a garage, or can reach 90 centimeters if it is planned to build a residential building. Next, the foundation is poured with at least half a meter high from the ground, since otherwise the slag block will absorb the liquid from the soil and be destroyed.
You can proceed to the masonry, after pouring and drying the foundation, laying waterproofing material on it, the masonry technology itself is no different from laying bricks.
After completing work on the construction of the building, it is necessary to do wall decoration from slag blocks. The exterior decoration of the facade is also mandatory, since the slag block must be protected from moisture, or facing bricks, or by siding, or at least plaster, otherwise you risk the rapid reference of the house, and sometimes its destruction, under a long and constant effect of moisture.
