Cotton coating: what is how to apply

It is quite traditional to apply the concept of “cotton coating” to the textile industry, or rather to bedspreads, sheets, pillows and other similar products. However, today, oddly enough, cotton coatings are quite successfully used for wall cladding, t. e. interior decoration of the premises.

The cotton coating as a finishing material is a pasty mass with a fine -grained texture that can be of different shades, but often the result is a dim color in specking.

The cotton coating is applied to the wall with an uniform layer, then either divided using a spatula, or sprayed with a spray gun. It is interesting that, depending on the design of the designer, several shades of the coating can get along on one wall at once, while forming a drawing in the same style.

According to many experts, the main advantages of the cotton coating are: thermal insulation and the lack of need for preliminary leveling of the walls “under zero”.

In the first case, the cotton coating is an excellent material for maintaining heat, so next to such a wall you can safely put even a crib without additional wall insulation.

In the second case, the coating at the expense of its texture successfully hides all the small flaws of the walls, thereby allows you to pre -notal their putty and alignment.
