Fidel Castro laid flowers to the Jose Marty monument in the Cuban capital

The legendary Cuban commandant Fidel Castro is not the first time recently pleased Cuban citizens with his appearance in public. This time he was seen during the celebration of the day of the revolution, which was widely celebrated on the island of Freedom last Monday. In the Cuban capital, the ex-president of the island state laid flowers to the monument to Jose Marty. However, at the ceremony in Santa Clara-the venue of the main celebrations-he was never seen.

I must say that the national day of the revolution on the island of Freedom this year became remarkable precisely because many prominent Cuban figures did not act on it. For example, the Raul Castro, the chairman of the State Council of Cuba, who was there, did not make any congratulatory speech to the great bewilderment of citizens. His elder brother Fidel, as we already said, did not appear at all at the ceremony. Moreover, one of the closest friends and associates of Cuba, the head of Venezuela, Hugo Chavela literally on the eve of the festive celebrations suddenly abolished the trip to the island. The government does not comment on the current situation.

Meanwhile, the appearance of Fidel Castro in the public at the monument Jose Marty in the Cuban capital was a complete surprise for Cubans. After the legendary commandant laid the wreath to the memorial, he went to meet with representatives of the Cuban intelligentsia. Also, the ex-president of Cuba managed to communicate with religious leaders, journalists and other festive events invited to this.

It should be noted that the last two weeks Fidel Castro are constantly in the center of all important events taking place in Cuba, now and then by gesturing. Prior to this, the Kubinsky leader led a very “recluse” lifestyle without appearing in public since July 2006.
