How to lay linoleum on an old coating?

In order to lay a new linoleum, it is not necessary to remove the old coating. Especially if a concrete overlap or plank floor, which is still quite strong, acts as a basis. Start work with a thorough survey of the floor area. If there is damage on the surface (dents, waves, holes or cracks), they must be close up, since the new coating will accurately repeat all the old bumps.

You can fill holes with small segments of linoleum, which are identical to the one that is laid before. You can cut off a piece somewhere in a secluded place-in the far corner or in one of the damaged places. Now with this sample we go to the nearest building materials store, where we select a segment, identical to the old coating. This repair method is as popular as diesel motoblocks among owners of summer cottages.

Slips are used to repair holes and sealing cracks. Bloating and bubbles remove, gluing the rising linoleum to the floor. You can do this quite simply by introducing glue with a syringe under the old coating. If it fails to glue it, then this site can simply be cut out, and in its place to apply a patch from the purchased linoleum. In the same way, various dents and gaps are closed.

The patch is glued with special glue, and the joints are brewed with cold welding. It is not recommended to connect them using open flame. For the time, while the glue is hardened, a small load must be laid on patches. After the waves lay down, you can start laying a new coating.
