A bus with Russian specialists and journalists was fired in Syria. About this incident was announced by Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia. At the same time, he emphasized that this has recently begun to happen more and more often.
In particular, as Sergei Lavrov noted, only vehicles with Russian specialists are shelling, but also at home in which they live. So on Friday, at the house in Damascus, in which experts from Russia live, a shot was fired from a double -barreled grenade launcher. Despite the fact that the grenades fell into the wall at the level of the second floor and the building itself was caused significant damage, there were no injured as a result of this attack. In addition, according to the minister, the diplomats of the Russian diplomatic corps present in Syria report that in the country the situation is becoming more and more tense and it seems that Syria is on the very edge before a full -scale civilian war erupted in the country.
Also, the Russian Minister has extremely negatively responded to the decision of the EU countries regarding the blocking of the possibility of broadcasting state television channels of Syria. While the countries of the European Union and America themselves are fighting for the freedoms of the words, they also make an authoritarian decision to block the media outlets, as happened in 2011 during a missile-bomb hit on a television center in Tripoli or in 1999 in a similar situation in Baghdada. In his speech, the Russian diplomat also noted that Russia’s position in relation to Syria remained unchanged and Russia will further oppose the application of any external political or military pressure to Syria.
It is worth noting the fact that not only Russian experts are subjected to shelling in Syria. So recently, British journalists fell under fire. According to the British journalist Alex Thomson, his colleagues, representatives of the Syrian opposition, specially set up on fire of the government armed forces. According to the correspondent, when the journalists approached the city of Kuseyr, they were intercepted by the armed patrol of the separatists, who expressed extreme discontent that the journalists had an official Syrian visa. To follow the route previously agreed with the authorities to journalists, they forbade the fact that they could “arise troubles” ahead and indicated a new route to the city entrance. After the journalists seemed in the direct sight of the year, in particular the checkpoint of government troops, from somewhere on the side of the journalists in checkpoints, fire was opened. Naturally, the military took this fire from a car moving towards the city and opened fire on it. As the journalist says — everyone remained unharmed only due to accident. After a group of Syrian military arrived at the scene and figured out what happened, they apologized to the journalists and explained that it was from this that the checkpoint is most often sheated, therefore, the military reaction to the checkpoint was known to the separatists who sent the journalists to faithful death in advance.
