The other day, a representative of Cuban Medical Technologies and the Cuban Ministry of Health, Dr. Yuksini Akosta Gomez, arrived in Naberezhnye Chelny. The representative of the Cuban Ministry of Health visited the Kamazovsky sanatorium, the city clinic No. 4 and the ambulance hospital. Cuba healthcare is quite different from the Russian. State healthcare has serious financing problems, so the main attention is paid to preventive measures designed to warn the appearance of diseases. Thus, the need for expensive treatment is avoided if the disease goes into a severe stage. Every year, pensioners can relax for free and heal at one of the Cuban resorts, dine every day for free at the factory at which they worked before retirement, visit a nurse or a family doctor. Kubinka showed a special interest in the division of medicine into adult and childhood and the system of taking patients in clinics. In Russia, patients first visit a therapist who prescribes directions for testing. In Cuba, the system is different — patients first take tests, and only then sent to the hospital for the necessary treatment. According to Yuksini Akosta, her mission consists in discussing the issue with the local authorities regarding the construction of the Cube-Russian medical institution and the possibility of attracting Russian patients to Cuba for treatment. Next year, it is planned to implement a program for the exchange of experience between Cuban experts and professionals from Tatarstan, in particular from Naberezhnye Chelny. Yuksini Acosta appreciated Naberezhnye Chelny on «excellent». In her opinion, this is a developed city with which can develop relations in the medical field.
