Selection of material for the construction of a bath: Important points

Bath procedures are not only pleasant, but also useful. Therefore, many people, buying a summer cottage, immediately look closely on it for a bathhouse. Its construction can be entrusted to qualified builders, but if there is time and desire, this work is by strength and non -professional.

One of the first to build a bath is the problem of choosing the required materials. Brick, foam concrete, arbolite can be used for the construction of walls. But the brick walls will require the corresponding foundation and enhanced thermal insulation, so this is not the best option for a bath structure. Foam concrete has less thermal conductivity than a brick, and will allow the walls to «breathe». Arbolit in its properties is similar to foam concrete, but not moisture resistant enough.

The indisputable leader here is wood, since it holds the heat of the room well. Choosing between a timber and logs, preference should be given to logs: they are more durable and do not require additional external decoration.

Traditionally for the construction of baths use pine, aspen and larch. Each of the varieties of wood has its advantages. Pine has antiseptic properties and is durable. Aspen is not terrible rot and mold, it does not crack over time. And the larch will bypass the bugs and other pests.
