Types of roofs in a private house: distinguishing features

A reliable roof is an excellent protection of the whole house from winds, snow, rain and other bad weather. This design retains heat in the house, protects it from the sun, does not allow moisture hit. The basic requirements that are put forward to the roofs are the ease of installation, the durability and inappropriateness of corrosion.

All roofs are divided into flat and pitched structures. Plates are most often covered not at home, but utility rooms (garage, sheds, summer kitchen, gatehouse). Napal structures are more complex and beautiful, they decorate one thing — and multi -storey buildings.

Flat roofs can have a slight slope — no more than 3 degrees. Most often they are installed in places with a small annual amount of precipitation. In large megacities, the so -called green roofs have become more popular recently. These are roofing coatings on which shrubs and flowers grow. Naturally, such roofs are created only in countries with warm climate.

Raise roofs have a slope of more than 3 degrees and are divided into types: single -sloping, gable, three -sided, four -skeet, holm, tent, multi -plot, semi -wire and Ilimoy roof. A feature of the latter are the raised edges, it is used mainly in Japan and China.
